Newletter for the Midwest Gold Challenge Series
Welcome to the Midwest Gold Challenge Website. LEADER BOARD POINTS ARE UP ! We are talking about making changes to the challenge for 2008. We really believe in this program but are still in a learning stage. Any ideas or thoughts that you have about this program will be brought up at our meeting in Iowa in October. So if anything that you can offer, that will make this program more successful, make sure it is represented at this important meeting. Please contact me, Sandy Walker sevenszip@aol.com, or any of the states representatives with your thoughts or ideas. Below are some ideas that are being tossed about for 2008. This was an email that was distributed to the APA's involved. In an effort to encourage more participation in the Midwest & Southeast Gold Challenge, we need some input from the APA's involved. Here are some ideas that we are considering and need your APA's input. Any ideas that your APA has should be brought to the meeting at the Iowa show in October(Midwest) 0r the November Georgia show (Southeast). Or you can contact Sandy Walker at sevenszip@aol.com Or Carol Goble at goblefarm@charter.net with any ideas that you might have Please contact all your members and inquire what would encourage them to participate in the program. 1.Change the program to include all the APA's shows, reduce the state requirement you have to show in to 4 states. This would eliminate the designated show that each state current holds. It does become more of a trailer race opening it like this. But might encourage more people to participate. 2..Change the program to include all the APA's shows, reduce the state requirement you have to show in to 4 states. We would count only your best top 10 shows for your point total. This would eliminate the designated show that each state current holds. 3. Raise the nomination fee to help pay for more awards. We have to get the participation level up in this program. It is still a good program for the APA's we just have to find out what it is going to take to get your members to participate. Please ask your members for their input and lets get this program rolling. I would like to have feedback from the APA's sometime in September so it will be ready for the October & November meeting.
