"Midwest Gold Challenge"
This is a 8 show event between the states of Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky . Purpose of these shows are to promote the showing of palomino horses between these states.
Rules of the challenge:
Each state will designate one of their regular horse show to be the Midwest Gold Challenge show.
Must show in 5 of the 8 states’ approved weekend shows to qualify for the year end awards, One more show over half of the total weekend shows will be the requirement to qualify.On weekends of 3 day shows, you are required to show 2 of 3 days to have that weekend count, you must still show both days of 2 day shows for the weekend to count.
Each State would pay in 250.00 for the year end awards and this fee is to be paid to a designated treasurer by May 1 of the year for the shows.
Each Amateur or Youth nominee will have a fee of $10.00 per horse/exhibitor combo per award area. Each Open nominee will have a fee of $10.00 per horse for each award area. These fees will be added to the awards account. Points are NOT retroactive.
A designated point secretary is appointed to handle the bank account and to calculate the high points.
Results from each nominated horse/exhibitor, from participating states shows, will be sent to the designated point secretary within 21 days after their show to be tabulated. There will be a $50.00 penalty to each state not meeting this requirement. This penalty would have to be paid by December 31 of that year or a $100 penalty will be assessed to the 250.00 nomination fee for that state to participate in the following year.
